Setting up your first website in MentionRank takes just a few minutes. Follow this guide to start tracking your AI visibility.
Step 1: Navigate to Dashboard
After logging in, you'll see your dashboard. Click the "Add Website" button in the top right corner.
Step 2: Enter Your Domain
Enter your website's domain name. You can enter:
- Just the domain:
yourcompany.com - With www:
www.yourcompany.com - Full URL:
https://yourcompany.com
We'll automatically clean up the format.
Step 3: Select Your Industry
Choose the industry that best describes your business. This helps us:
- Select relevant queries for your scans
- Benchmark your score against competitors
- Provide industry-specific insights
Available industries include:

- Finance & Banking
- Healthcare
- Professional Services

Step 4: Wait for Your First Scan
Once added, your first scan begins automatically. You'll see:
- A progress indicator showing scan status
- Results appearing as each AI model responds
- Your final MentionRank score
Typical scan time: 2-5 minutes depending on the number of AI models queried.
Step 5: Explore Your Results
After the scan completes, you'll see:
- Overall Score: Your MentionRank visibility rating
- Model Breakdown: Performance by AI platform
- Query Results: Which prompts mentioned you
- Competitor Comparison: How you stack up
